The orange man is severing us from our allies and the rest of the world in order to have complete control over us. China just is doing what they need to do to build their alliances. Showing up — I think that matters, if we can.
I just got a text credited to Barack Obama encouraging support to flip the House in two years —- OK, we gotta have our eye on that, but I have limited dollars, and I think we need to focus on NOW every bit as much as two years from now.
There is no telling what damage can be done in two years. Lawsuits need our support NOW —push back needs our support NOW — we have to be active stopping these directives NOW …
I’ll work to flip Congress, for sure, if we all make sure we still HAVE a vote in two more years …
I work with Indivisible but our group is pretty small since we are surrounded by red! My question is are there any lawyers out there willing to take on our cases? Are there any lawyers willing to fight to stop all of this illegal activity or all they all in the orange man's pocket? No one has mentioned a lawyer that will take on our cases.

At DOJ, some of the people affected may be union members. In my experience, these are some of the smartest, most knowledgeable lawyers in the country.
Unfortunately, I have some experience in data breaches as my security clearance was stolen by the Chinese military in 2014 via OPM records. Although we should have sued for damages, obtained judgments, we never did. My wife and I are retired federal employees-- in many federal databases. Many are concerned about stuff like SSA retirement benefits. Those funds come from a trust fund that should be solvent to about 2033.
Apparently DOGE has already decided to kill several agencies......
I'm hoping that there already are schisms of MAGAT House members.
1. Minority Republicans. How can they support discrimination against themselves? Actually. white women who may have been Republicans benefitted most from DEI.
2. Those who support Ukraine vs Putin
3. Those who oppose Musk.
More -- if they represent districts on the border that rely on Mexico and or Canada, and their local businesses are shut down because of tariff policy.
My MAGAT rep knows that her constituents are pissed....are mostly Democrats. Miami Herald: "The Trump administration has eliminated deportations protections for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans in the United States, leaving them vulnerable to be sent back to the South American country in 60 days when the protection expires, according to an official from the Department of Homeland Security".
I don't know this as a fact but some own US businesses, are bankers, etc. The defacto economic capitol of Venezuela is Baghdad By the Sea. Employ hundreds of thousands,,, many US citizens.
Multiply Venezuela by Cuba, Canada, Mexico. In my building many residents have dual citizenship. Have boucoups business interests in the old country.

I do support CREW, though I’d like some concrete ways to do so as well, as my financial supports must of necessity by small and few {given that I am NOT insulated against economic stress by even a good many thousands, never mind - egad - billions of dollars. }
I shall spend more time on the CREW site seeking additional actions, while I continue to write and edit for clients, to pay the overhead around here … Being a retired writer means NOT being retired.
Just so Elon doesn’t find my posts and get mad at me … A quick tap on his keyboard, and he could wreak havoc … That’s what we all need to realize. We saw what he did to Twitter, and he doesn’t care. Destroying it was the point all along. What’s a few billion dollars lost, when you can reap the satisfaction of utterly destroying what you dislike, and you still have billions left over?

I have not read it all — need more free time — but a scan shows discussion of “the spoils system” and political AND non-political talent in the trenches .. And so much more .. good reading.
